Yannis Kotziagkiaouridis has based his 20+ year career on the fundamental principle that data helps organizations build stronger relationships with people. As Edelman's Global Chief Data & AI Officer, he uses this belief to lead Edelman Data & Intelligence (DXI), the global, multidisciplinary organization that brings together the data, insight, analytics, research and data science capabilities of Edelman. This 500-person-strong team of highly specialized thinkers and dreamers elevate data with a vision of creating a more empathetic world.
Kotziagkiaouridis sees beyond what the data is to unveil what the data can impact: create clarity, ignite distinctly human insights that drive action with impact; and ultimately, cultivate lasting relationships that create trust. He is passionate about fostering an environment of constant curiosity, the promotion of diverse ideas and applying empathy and culture into all work. He strongly believes that although data is not human, how we use it and what we do with it has immense implications for humanity.
Kotziagkiaouridis lives in diverse and cosmopolitan Dallas with his spouse Paul, their two boys Luka and Niko, and cocker spaniel Ollie. When he is not traveling around the world connecting talent and evangelizing driving data with empathy, he spends time mentoring entrepreneurs in the fields of AI and Big Data.
